Neighborhoods and nearby cities

Six parts of Camarillo have a page of their own, and so does Oxnard. Requests are welcome from anywhere in ZIP codes 93010 and 93012.

  • Old Town Camarillo

Old Town Camarillo is the original town site, laid out around 1910 around St. Mary Magdalen Church, the Camarillo family’s chapel, with Ventura Boulevard as its main street. The freeway later split it, leaving shops, churches, schools and parks on the south side.

  • Mission Oaks

Mission Oaks is a neighborhood in eastern Camarillo, ZIP code 93012. It is home to Adolfo Camarillo High School and to Mission Oaks Park, one of the Pleasant Valley Recreation and Park District’s parks.

  • Spanish Hills and Las Posas

Spanish Hills and Las Posas are hillside neighborhoods around two country clubs: Spanish Hills, a private club whose clubhouse sits high above the city, and Las Posas Country Club, a course set among lemon, orange and avocado groves.

  • Leisure Village

Leisure Village is a Camarillo community for residents 55 and over, established in the 1970s on about 400 acres. The City counts 2,136 attached homes; the association describes more than 2,100 single-story homes, with a golf course among the amenities.

  • Camarillo Heights

Camarillo Heights is the hillside neighborhood on Camarillo’s north side, just south of Highway 118. Much of it lies outside the city limits, in unincorporated Ventura County.

  • Camarillo Springs

Camarillo Springs is the neighborhood in eastern Camarillo beside Highway 101, where the public Camarillo Springs Golf Course winds around the rock formations of the mountain above it.

  • Oxnard

Oxnard is Ventura County’s largest city, with 202,063 people in the 2020 census, and Camarillo’s neighbor to the west on the Oxnard Plain. It grew up around Henry T. Oxnard’s sugar beet factory, which, with its landmark twin smokestacks, ran from 1899 to 1959.
