Cost calculator: carpet, sofas, rugs and floors
Fill in the rooms, steps, sofas, rugs and floors, and see a national range for the whole visit.
Typical national cost range, not a quote, except wood floors, where the rate is Homewyse’s published starting estimate. None of it is a quote from this site or from any cleaning company; no Camarillo average turned up in the price guides checked, and the cleaning company confirms the price before any work. Maid VIP’s carpet cleaning estimate: about $30–$75 per room, with a $150 visit minimum; most homes about $150–$400.
What the calculator does
It multiplies each count by a published rate and adds the lines: carpet by the room or the square foot, stairs by the step, sofas and dining chairs by the piece, rugs by size, and tile and grout, deodorizing, wood floors and hand-washed wool rugs by the square foot. Stain removal is the exception: its published $40–$300, by severity, names no unit, so it is added once whatever the number of spots. Where a source publishes a minimum (HomeAdvisor’s call-out minimum for tile, Angi’s minimum service fee for carpet), the calculator lifts the top of a small carpet or tile total to it, once. Past the largest count it covers, a line goes to the call. Our affiliated partner, Maid VIP, has its estimates beside the national figures where its published wording covers the item; it prices the rest on the call, and the $150 visit minimum from its carpet estimate counts once when the visit includes carpet. Nothing here covers furniture moving, protector, or what a cleaner can only judge in person.
